What is the first thing that pops into your mind when you hear the word worship? What is worship and why does it matter?
Jesus is worthy of costly sacrifices (John 12:1-11).
How have you seen people make costly sacrifices to worship something or someone they love?
How is sacrifice an essential part of worship?
Why is Jesus worthy of costly sacrifice, and what should you sacrifice to demonstrate His worth this Easter season?
Jesus is worthy of singing praise (John 12:12-16).
How is praise an essential outworking of worship?
How have you seen people praise what they worship?
Why is Jesus worthy of praise and how can you praise Him practically this Easter season?
Jesus is worthy of joyfully sharing (John 12:17-19).
How is joyfully sharing your object of worship an essential part of the worship process?

Resolved to Mourn  (John 11:17-37)
What are some reasons you have found, both biblically and practically, that an all-powerful and all-good God would allow suffering?
How should we respond when someone is suffering? What is helpful to say and do, and what isn’t helpful?
How have you personally experienced Christian faith and the Christian community supporting, serving and giving you hope and encouragement in the midst of your suffering?  
Resolved to Raise  (John 11:38-45)
How can we help “roll away” the stone in other people’s lives to get them to Jesus?
How do the life and ministry of Jesus change the way we understand and undergo suffering?
What does Lazarus’ resurrection teach us about God’s heart and plan for suffering?  
Resolved to Die  (John 11:46-53)
How does Jesus’ death in our place, for our sin help us when we’re struggling with condemnation and guilt?
Substitution is the heart of Christian faith, but how would you explain the mercy and justice of God to a non-Christian who is unfamiliar with the story of Jesus’ death and resurrection?
