Get religion out of politics? Or should we get politics out of religion? There is a widespread perception that religion and politics don’t mix and that religion does a great deal of harm. But is this true? Given that religion deals with the fundamental beliefs about humanity and society why should the two be separate? Can they be? We need to return to a Biblical perspective on this – and understand the right relationship between Church and State – and the role that belief has in politics.
