How Progressive Christianity Hijacks Christ

Is Jesus fine with us doing whatever we wanna do? According to progressive queer pastor Bailey Brawner, the answer is ‘yes.’ She claims that Jesus of Nazareth was queer and that God doesn’t find anything wrong with us living out our authentic selves. Progressive Christianity essentially turns the teachings of the Bible upside down. Nowhere does Scripture tell us that we are to follow our hearts or live out our true selves. Instead, it tells us that our self is corrupted by sin and in need of rebirth. Christ calls us to follow HIM, not our hearts. A great many progressive Christians in general and progressive clergy, in particular, seem to be primarily concerned with finding Biblical and theological support for homosexuality, queerness, or a sexually liberal lifestyle in general. This video will show how progressive Christianity diametrically opposes the teachings of historic Christianity as it preaches the pursuit of self instead of the pursuit of Christ.
