Radical Living is fueled by God's Word and only God's Word. The pastor's stories and opinions will not motivate or sustain long term faithfulness in the midst of affliction, trials, temptations and heartache. Real life and real problems demand a real God with real POWER!

The Importance of Prayer
God has been really convicting me recently about the importance of prayer. Jesus says that the harvest is plentiful and the workers are few so we are to pray to the God of the harvest to send out more workers.
The point of the passage seems to mean that the reason they aren't enough workers for the harvest is because nobody is praying! God has so ordained that we pray that he seems to without particular blessings unless we actually ask him for them in prayer.

State of the Church 2014 - 20 Years of Gospel Ministry
Last week Summit View Church celebrated 20 years of God's faithfulness to create, sanctify and bless a movement focused on creating disciples of Jesus in the greater Portland area.
It was incredible to hear many different stories of people impacted by the Gospel proclamation and loving example and support of this local church, it's elders, pastors, leaders and it's people.
I was given the honor of explaining baptism and how it fits into Jesus' commission to the church to make disciples. Feel free to listen below.

No Other Gospel
Last week I had an interesting opportunity to live out the instruction Paul give to Timothy to be prepared in season and out of season. One of my fellow pastors had become extremely sick on Saturday and wouldn't be able to preach at the Sunday morning gatherings the following day. I had a few hours to prepare a message and was excited for the unique challenge. I decided to focus on the Gospel and choose Galatians 1:1-12 as my text.
Feel free to listen to the sermon below
